
CSI men capture 4th straight CUNY title

The College of Staten Island men's swim team
continued its dominance, taking its fourth straight CUNY title at
Lehman College, the Bronx, yesterday.
The Dolphins scored 606 points, topping Lehman (553 points) and
Baruch (317). It was also Lehman's fourth-straight second-place
finish.
Vadzim Zhgun earned meet MVP honors, shattering school and
conference marks in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:09.66), 500 free
(5:11.24) and 200 individual medley (2:06.81) on his way to three
first-place finishes.
Vlad Fedoseev also gathered three firsts while breaking the CUNY
record in the 100 free (50.65).
Eros Qama also set a new conference record in the 200 freestyle with
a 1:53.94. He finished first in the 100 backstroke as well.

Women's swimming
CSI takes third
The College of Staten Island finished third in yesterday's CUNY
championship with 355 total points. Margaret Borzymowski was the
only medalist. She took third in the one-meter dive (151.40) and
second in the three-meter dive (166.15).
Hunter won the title with 496 points while Baruch was second with
414.
